Join Mark Hayes and the Sassoon Creative Team who will share the lastest techniques and inspirations from the newest Academy Collection.
The collection celebrates the visceral energy of disco through iconic brand Fiorucci, which embodied the brash optimism of the 1970s and the fluidity of youth culture, where the streets are a panoramic catwalk of fantastic surprises,” says Mark.
We are using our new technique of Reverse Layering to subvert a series of heritage Sassoon shapes. This method creates a sinuous ‘sketched’ feeling to the internal silhouette, or a dramatic saw-tooth effect to the perimeter.
The classic veil technique is flipped across the surface of the shapes, with large panels of Indian rose, pink dusk, velvet violet, blush nude, coral, spiced honey, and plum. These brighter tones diffuse through the more neutral based outer layers of black dahlia and white orchid.
