Autumn Winter 2023
Inspiration
The newest collection from Sassoon takes the iconic methodology that the brand is world renowned for and heightens it to a new level.
“What’s really important in this collection is that the techniques aren’t visible.” Says Mark Hayes Sassoon International Creative Director. “They are designed to create hair that looks as if it has been caught in movement.”
Cutting Technique
The cuts feature an extreme range of textures and lengths. A classic short shake is modernised by concealed, disconnected elements. Head hugging, gamine layering uses a new trigon sectioning pattern. The signature bob is cut classically then subverted into a halo of soft spikes. Curls, mid length and longer lengths include internal and external geometric shapes that provoke the hair or use the face as an architectural frame.
Colouring Technique
Colours are subdued rather than brash. Tones of cool brown and oyster blonde combine on a layered shape. Geometric patterns of blue brown, dramatise a gamine look. Petrol on water effects or blood reds are applied in large, curved areas, caramel melt highlighting accents the mid length layering. Zips of pure white and blocks of obsidian black complete the colour odyssey of the collection.
