COLLECTION III. 2022

The new autumn winter Academy collection has arrived.

The Autumn Winter Sassoon Academy collection has arrived and we are excited to be offering 6 new collection step-by-steps techniques from the new collection, available at Sassoon Online

INSPIRATION

Hair is an important part of a person’s physical and spiritual make up, as well as an emblem of individuality. The newest collection from Sassoon cherishes this distinctive identity, reflecting the wearer’s sense, intellect, and beauty. Conceived in a sublime cooperative spirit to create super individual looks that suit not only bone structure but also lifestyle and personality, the collection builds on the highly successful releases of previous seasons, where the creative collaboration between the muse and the artist were explored.

Classic Sassoon looks have an easy and effortless attitude and are recontextualised for today. These are never direct recreations, but a reflection of a Sassoon language that is familiar to its devotees, creating trends that ripple through the industry with impressive, and lasting effects.

These looks are inventive with a sensitivity for the individual, for clients that desire to wear their hair in an artful, timeless way. It’s hair with an innate quality that feels and looks modern, all the things Sassoon believe in and stand for.

CUTTING TECHNIQUES

The cuts feature classic lines that carefully trace bone structure. Crafted lines, drawn so that they accentuate and delineate, use the face as an architectural frame. Layers are cut to hug the head or flare into exaggerated length.

Graduation provides graphic support and structure. Controlled freehand techniques subtly provoke and distort the finished effect. Fringes are cut above the brow or trace the cheekbones. Natural textures are cut to expand, maximising volume. The finishes are gently ruffled, with the emphasis on naturally healthy shine.

COLOUR TECHNIQUES

Colours utilise the full range of Sassoon techniques, applied in an innovative, exciting colour palette that subverts the everyday. Shades range from deepest black to the palest blonde, through accents of coral pink, caramel and honey. The colour applications are as individual as the wearer, using pure technique with an innate feeling for the individual, creating a kaleidoscope of options.

“For the collections of 2022, the models themselves and their own character have provided the inspiration for the creative team” concludes Mark Hayes International Creative Director, “It's a continuation of a journey we call creativity with a conscience.”
